Q. WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
My fee is $175 - $220 per session.
Sliding scale: I also offer a limited amount of sliding scale openings based on your financial need. We can discuss your appropriate fee during our initial consultation call.
I accept all major credit cards, Cash or Check.
Q. DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
A. I am an out of network provider, but I complete and provide session superbills that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. Your reimbursement will depend on your policy deductible and out-of-network allowance.
I recommend contacting your insurance company before you come in to see me, so that you can find out the financial specifics of your coverage.
Q. HOW DO YOU SCHEDULE YOUR SESSION?
A. Sessions are 50 minutes long. I generally meet with clients weekly, although depending on your situation, it sometimes makes more sense to meet multiple times a week or biweekly. We will work together to decide on the frequency that is most appropriate for your needs.
Q. DO YOU OFFER PHONE AND/OR VIDEO SESSIONS?
A. Absolutely. I recognize that some clients’ schedules preclude them from being able to consistently make weekly in-person visits and would never want to impede you in getting the support you need. I am able to work with clients by providing HIPAA-compliant video sessions through our SimplePractice client portal.
Q. DO YOU PROVIDE FREE CONSULTATIONS?
A. Yes! The initial phone call is an important first step in figuring out if there is a good fit and whether we should move forward with meeting in person. I offer a 15 minute complimentary initial phone session to learn more about why you are interested in therapy and to discuss my approach. I will happy to answer any questions that you have during a phone consultation and you can also email me at nicolebarab@gmail.com.
Q. WHAT ABOUT DOGS?
A. Research demonstrates the emotional support and healing that a pet can offer. Let me know if you’d like your dog to accompany you or if you’d like me to bring Charlie to your session.
Q. what if i need to cancel an appointment?
A. Life happens and sometimes you may need to cancel an appointment. I require a 24 hour notice for cancellations in order to avoid paying the full session fee. However, if you cancel within 24 hours but we are able to reschedule your session for the same week, you will not be charged.
